J. LuLu is a writer, artist, and creator focused on building immersive narrative worlds that combine speculative fiction, technology, and philosophy. As the mind behind The Rollback Protocol, Julie crafts suspenseful techno-thrillers that explore the hidden architecture of reality and the people who dare to rewrite it.
Through the House of LuLu studio, Julie blends graphic storytelling, cinematic world-building, and mythic symbolism to create narratives that feel both futuristic and timeless. Inspired by the idea that reality itself may be programmable, Julie’s work challenges audiences to question the systems beneath everyday life and the consequences of changing them.

My artistic background is highlighted by earning my BFA in 2008 and working in the film industry as an illustrator and digital texture and background artist on major motion pictures including Revenge of the Sith, Transformers, Die Hard, and Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
Also at Lucasfilm, a part of my time there was working with the publishing division on image editing for the Star Wars graphic novels. The demanding, high-precision world of film art gave me a strong foundation in composition, atmosphere, and visual storytelling, skills that now shape my own work as a graphic novelist.
I’m a passionate storyteller who believes graphic novels and comics are the ultimate form of storytelling.
